ABOUT GHETIS

The Ghana-Europe Tourism & Investment Summit (GHETIS) is a tourism conference plus other activities that seeks to promote Ghana’s tourism sector as well as other viable sectors for investment. #GHETIS24 is scheduled from March 6-9th 2024, at the Paris Marriott Hotel Champs Elysées, Paris and other locations in France, on the finges of Ghana's 67th Independence Day (Ghana Month). Sectors targeted for GHETIS 2024 include hospitality, manufacturing, construction/real estate, creative arts, agro-business, energy, healthcare and fintech etc.

GHETIS 2024 is organized by DESTINATION GHANA GLOBAL PROJECT (“DGGP”) in partnership with the Ghana Embassy in France, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration amongst other key collaborators. GHETIS 2024 will now include;
  • a day of cultural exposition and music concert to promote the same agenda plus

  • a special Ghana Independence Reception hosted by the Ghana Embassy in France.

Objectives of #GHETIS24

    Key Objectives of #GHETIS24 are:
  • to promote Ghana’s tourism sector, including its private sector services and government initiatives
  • targeting the African diaspora in France seeking to visit, invest or relocate to Ghana.
  • to promote relations and trade flows between Ghanaian and French/European businesses seeking to expand business operations, or develop business to business (B2B) partnerships, and
  • to facilitate technology transfer, knowledge sharing, and capacity building exercises.

GHETIS 2024 LAUNCHED AT THE CAPE COAST CASTLE The Ghana-Europe Tourism & Investment Summit (GHETIS 2024), a 3-day trade mission and tourism conference that seeks to promote Ghana’s tourism sector as well as other viable sectors for investment, was launched at the historic Cape Coast Castle in the Central Region of Ghana on 25th February 2023. The Paramount Chief of the Cape Coast Traditional Area, Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II, who chaired the launch stated that the DGGP and its flagship events would further help position Cape Coast and Ghana as an important tourism, cultural and commercial hub.
Special Guest of Honour, French Ambassador, H.E. Jules Armand Aniambossou pledged his Mission’s support for the project; stating the French President Emmanuel Macron’s abundant interest in issues that positively affect Africa.
“Mr. Macron has a good heart for the continent”, Ambassador Aniambossou said. He described France as “a true friend of the African continent” and that France was ready to demonstrate that.
According to Mr. Dauda Issifu, the Chief Operating Officer of GHETIS Key Partner, Made in Ghana Consulting Ltd, “the project has identified key business summits, tourism conferences, concerts and cultural festivals across the globe that it is collaborating with to market its agenda to the globe”. In a video message delivered by Ghana’s High Commissioner to Malta, Barbara Akuorkor Benisa, she pledged her Mission’s support for the project.”
Cape Coast Mayor, Hon. Ernest Arthur and the Central Regional Minister, Hon. Marigold Assan pledged the collaboration of their offices to the project. Musicians Bessa Simons, Jupitar, Kofi Kinaata, Lamisi, Asodzi Cultural Troupe and the Flat 5 Band performed at the launch.

The Official Launch (Press Soiree) for the maiden Ghana-Europe Tourism & Investment Summit (#GHETIS24) was hosted by the Ghana Embassy at its premises in Paris on Friday, 15th September 2023,
The Press Soiree was attended by a number of influential Ghanaians, media personnel, dignitaries and members of the diplomatic corps including Ambassador Ana-Maria Oliviera- Ambassador of Angola and Permanent Delegate to UNESCO; Madame Desvignes- Deputy Permanent Delegate of France to UNESCO etc.
#GHETIS24 full itinerary and Speakers were announced at the Press Soiree; they include Deputy Minister of Tourism, Hon. Mark Okraku Mantey; Hon.
